The words "slow" and "tortured" come to mind when I think about this self-titled release by Salome, the sludge/doom band from the US. I haven't listened to this album too much mainly because I'm hardly ever in the mood, but I can definitely see myself going back to it when I feel like listening to Kat (who also handles vocal duties for Agoraphobic Nosebleed now) and her harsh screams amidst the churning mix of guitars and drums. Oh, there's no bass here fyi.
