Terrorizer - World Downfall

This is another grindcore classic, and not at all over-rated in any way. World Downfall has the perfect mix of punk and death metal. Let's just say it's a perfect grindcore record. There's not one track on this that's not enjoyable.

Vomit Remnants

Supreme Entity by Vomit Remnants

Vomit Remnants is a slam/brutal death band from Japan, formed in 1997 and they released this little gem in 1999. This album is crazy brutal. Filled with some sweet riffs and sick drumming, it's hard to not enjoy this album and bang your head. The lyrics are the usual brutal death metal fare, all about gore, murder, violence etc. You know, the usual. Get this.

Grind on parte deux

In response to the previous post, I present to you Assück's '92 full-length, Anticapital, which is definitely a milestone in the grindcore genre.

Grind on...

Assuck-Misery Index
here you go

Continuing the string of grind-related posts. Now we have Assück, with their legendary final full length, Misery Index, which btw inspired the band Misery Index. No bullshit grind with lyrics pertaining to political issues. Features Rob Proctor of Discordance Axis on drums.

And now...a classic.

Horrified by Repulsion

The founding of grindcore is most often credited to Napalm Death, with their debut full-length Scum, released in 1987. Unfortunately, an equally good album (if not better) is often overlooked. Horrified by Repulsion, a band from Michigan, was recorded in 1986 but released in 1989. I find it to be more enjoyable than Scum because it's just so well put together. It's pure grindcore, which is a metal and punk hybrid and that is exactly what this album is.

Amesoeurs-s/t

Amesoeurs-s/t

Hate me if you will, but I really do think this is one of Neige's best efforts. The female vocals and reverby guitars make up quite a shoegazy atmosphere, but still leaving a little space for the dark, sometimes evil-sounding sequences. Probably my most anticipated album of the year.

Guttural Secrete

Reek of Pubescent Despoilment by Guttural Secrete

Guttural Secrete are a band from Nevada that play some sick slam/brutal death metal, and I mean brutal in the strictest sense of the word. There's really not much to say about this album. Just check it out if you're into brutal/slam death metal that's about gore, death and killing in general, like I am. =D

HOLY FUCK NUTS

I just got Suffocation's newest album, Blood Oath, and goddamn does it slay! On my second listen now and it's everything I expect from these guys: pure death metal, nothing half-assed.

Cursed

One by Cursed

Finally got around to upping this beautiful release. Cursed are/were a crust/hardcore band from Canada that broke up in 2008 which is really upsetting (not that I was gonna be able to see them). Anyway, they released some great records, my favourite being One. If the opening track "Polygraph" doesn't do it for you, then leave the hall. This stuff is fast and angry. What more could you want?
